Tomorrow is the first of this season’s Stowe Ski Bum series races and Team DODGE Ski Boots will be out in force. Hopefully the weather cooperates, though the forecast is calling for some pretty strong winds. (Guess that’s appropriate with all of us ‘blow-hards’ on the hill!)
It should be interesting to see who is this year’s super rabbit, there typically being a newcomer that humbles everyone else. Way back when I was the hare. Now I’m just the tortoise!
It should be a good test of my new ACL, too. I’d better not screw it up or my knee surgeon will cut my throat in addition to cutting on my knee. The good news for my team is I should be starting without a handicap because I was out all last season. So, if I progress a little each race that will help my handicap and my team.
In other racing news, it looks like we are getting some more junior racers who have decided that DODGE carbon fiber ski boots are the way to go faster. I’ll post some more info soon.
Get out and enjoy the winter.
