Charles Christianson is a picture of determination and grit.

He has faced and overcome serious injuries at multiple times which, while hampering his quest for a berth on the US Ski Team, certainly made Charles a more determined ski racer and person.  After a successful collegiate career at Williams College, Charles has followed a path similar to other post-collegiate racers like Jimmy Cochran, Warner Nickerson, David Chodounsky, Patrick Biggs and made it to the World Cup.

Charles first WC start was at Beaver Creek in December.  Starting from the back of the pack, he posted some impressive first runs and barely missed making the “flip” for the second run.  But he certainly made an impression and showed he deserved to be there.

Last week in the Vail NorAms, Charles once again showed his prowess, posting 2 career-best point races and convinced the coaches he deserved another shot at the World Cup.

So, Charles is getting the start in Bansko, Bulgaria on Saturday.

Good luck and ski fast Charles!  We happy for you and proud to be part of your success.
