Yesterday we had a visit from Bob McGrath, who recently made the change to DODGE carbon fiber ski boots.  Bob is a retired professor emeritus from Dartmouth College who now lives in Nashville, TN but moves back to Norwich, VT in the winter so he can ski on the SISE Cup Masters Series.  He drove up yesterday for a couple of punches on his new DODGE boots.  Hopefully all is set so he can get back to tearing up Class M11.

Bob’s not the only one on the Masters circuit.  Duffy Dodge represents us in Class 12; Chuck Thorndike is blazing things in Class 9; Mark George is always an overall favorite and is in Class 7; Terence Fogarty is another overall foe from Class 4; and, Carolyn Beckedorff nicely brings up the charge for the ladies.

But, DODGE boots aren’t just for the more-experienced racers.

Ty Sprock, a first-year J2 skiing for Sugar Bowl Academy in Truckee, CA continues kicking it hard on his DODGE Ski Boots.  Coach Guenther Birgmann was kind enough to share this photo of Ty in action at the recent Wild West Classic FIS series at Snow King, Wyoming.  Ty stood on the J2 podium for both slaloms and continues to be a force to be reckoned with.

And, of course, we have guys in between. Warner on the World Cup (we’ll be seeing him this weekend in Hinterstoder); Charles Christianson is nicely positioned in this year’s Nor-Am standings; Ace Tarberry is currently at the World University Games in Ezurum, TURKEY; Scott Houser skiing for St. Lawrence University on the Eastern Collegiate Carnival Circuit; Chad Hedlund skiing for Sierra Nevada College out West; Chris Steinke making waves as a J1 in Canada; and even coaches like Dartmouth’s Peter Dodge and US Ski Team coach Dane Spencer.

J3 racer Colby Lane (pictured at left) is looking good and getting ready for Slovenia later this year.  We certainly will be cheering him on.

We have some more racers who we expect to be coming up here to purchase some boots and I’m hearing from others out West about more there.  I like that.

Well, time to get ready for the weekly Bum race.  Super G today.

Later.

Bill
