We’re in the news (again)!

Posted on October 1, 2018 by Bill

It was a nice surprise when Business People Vermont magazine called us last month wanting to do an article on Dodge Ski Boots. Writer Phyl Newbeck arrived at the shop and interviewed us, ( ie, listened to our stories) and photographer Brad Pettingill showed up a few days later to try to make us look good.

Enjoy!

Chairlift Chats: Ever Wonder How Norway Won 39 Medals in PyeongChang

Posted on May 25, 2018 by Warner

This week’s chairlift chat is with Leif Nestvold-Haugen about Norwegian Ski Team Culture.  It starts with a discussion of cultural norms and how husband and wife often combine last names. That is why he recently changed his last name from Haugen to Nestvold-Haugen last summer.   But, the bulk of this discussion is about Norwegian ski team culture.  Norwegian had the highest medal count in the 2018 Olympics with 39 medals and the bulk of those medals were won in snow sports.

This is a great chat to learn more about team culture and the Norwegian model.

Enjoy.

Dodge Ski Boots are the perfect wedding shoe!

Posted on March 28, 2018 by Bill

We love getting photos from members of the #DodgeBootFamily. Most are great skiing shots with proud Dodge Ski Boot users. But, long-time #DodgeBootFamily member JEFF CRAIG takes the prize for the most unique photos of his Dodge Ski Boots.

Seems like Jeff took advantage of a ski trip to Zermatt Switzerland to tie the knot with partner Kathy.

We’ll let Jeff explain:

“Hi Bill

Kathy and I just arrived home from Zermatt where we were married high on the hill in the Riffelalp chapel (no heating). The reason for this email is how were dressed for the ceremony! As you can see in the pictures we were in our ski clothing and boots. Obviously I was wearing my Dodge boots!
I thought you would appreciate the pictures.”

Thanks Jeff. Congratulations!

Great photos. Now we have to have Kathy join the Dodge Boot family, too!!

Chairlift Chats: How do we bring up the level of U.S. Skiing?

Posted on March 22, 2018 by Warner

This week’s chairlift chat is with former U.S. Ski Team athlete and NCAA Champion, Tim Kelley, talking about college skiing and the state of ski racing in America.  Kelley explains how critical foreign athletes are to bring up the level of college skiing and pushing American athletes.

Tim explains that bringing up the level of American skiing comes down to lowering the cost to athletes and increasing accessibility creating a larger pool of athletes.  The three most important things to develop a ski racer, in Tim’s opinion, are love for the sport, running lots of gates, and having lots of fun.

Thanks for watching!

This chat is all about the vital components of good storytelling and the ability to captivate the audience really feel and want something from your stories.

This is a phenomenal chat and absolutely worth listening watching!
