SKI BACKGROUND:

I started skiing at 2yrs old at Mt. Tom and then my family owned a home near Mt. Ascutney where we skied growing up. I did a PG year at KMS but raced very little due to injury and partying?! ( drinking age was 18 then!) I went on to racing 3 yrs in college very successfully Div. 2….it was very fun since back then we were sponsored by Coors Light Beer! Kegs at the finish!! I came up to Stowe and taught skiing for a stint then coached J5-J6’s for MMSC for awhile. Now just free skiing and trying to keep up with my ripping Kids!!

STATS:

HOMETOWN:Burlington, Vt.

WHERE I USUALLY SKI:

I Ski at Stowe where you will find me on good days on Lookout and Starr or out at the Bench. I Love going to the chin if weather permits and love ripping down Liftline, Hayride or Nosedive on groomer days!!

HOW I LIKE TO SKI:

Coming from a race background I will always love the feel of carving a ski……just now I like doing it on Fat skis! I also Love charging through soft bumps and pray for powder days and fresh tracks :)!! I like my ski equipment to be versatile to the ever changing conditions and terrain..be able to be responsive on groomers but forgiving enough to charge into a bump run!

WHAT I LIKE MOST ABOUT DODGE SKI BOOTS:

Which brings me to why I LOVE my Dodge Boots! I can feel the the ski so well when I have it laid over on groomers! In the bumps and powder they are light and lively! The kicker was skinning this spring in them…so light, no blisters and your ripping down the hill after in “real” boots!! Who needs an AT set up when you have this!!! Brilliant!! I have to add that I have an extremely hard foot to fit…long, skinny and lots of bony protrusions…really pretty! Once we got them dialed in I have been in heaven with them! I used to work for a boot fitter back in the early 80’s when that was just coming about. Alpine Racing Service in Killington, Vt. It taught me a lot about how important the fitting is not only for comfort but for responsiveness and angling the ski properly.

We would go to World Cup races and work on some of the women’s boots and I was amazed at the speed they generated. It motivated me to ski faster which is why I Love these Dodge boots because it allows me to push my limits and I trust them to preform!!  Whew! I know everyone is happier that I am no longer complaining about my boots and able to enjoy the day…whatever the conditions might be( it changes daily in Vt.!) So big Thanks to the Dodge Team!!! Love Ya…you guys are the BEST!!

ANY OTHER THINGS YOU WOULD LIKE TO ADD (FAMILY, FRIENDS, ETC):

I have had many great experiences skiing through the years in different places and with a lot of different people…many characters:)!! I love that about skiing…it brings everyone to a common ground! Now I am lucky to watch my kids who continually amaze me on the slopes(I have 4) and I am so happy that they absolutely love being at the hill as much as I do…I did something right! 🙂
