Sometimes inserting a spoiler between the liner and the shell is the best way to adjust for forward lean, especially when the skier has a skinny lower leg.
After scrounging spoilers from shop backrooms and making due with pieces of foam, I convinced Dave to make a mold so I could form our own spoilers. He did and the first tests yesterday went great.
Only one problem: When you put lettering in a mold, you need to think mirror image. Oooops!
But, before Dave gets a chance to fix the mold, I’m gonna make a bunch of spoilers with the “mistake” logo. I figure these will be kind of a collectors’ item.
And, to show I’m not greedy, I’m willing to share them.
All you have to do is send me a photo of you with DODGE Boots that we can use on the website and Facebook page. Dave & I will pick five we like best and I’ll send those “winners” a free set of “mistake” spoilers. After that, they’re gone, `cause I know Dave is gonna want to fix the mold.
The photos (yeah, you can send more than 1) can be serious, funny, dramatic, whatever. But, please, nothing offensive or harmful.
E-mail them along with your name and mailing address to: [email protected]
Deadline is November 20, 2013.
Pray for snow.
